Planning can be approached on two levels Assesments of Planning Aplications and Strategic Planning . This page is the ERA entrance to both of these levels and the interaction between them.

Finding individual planning applications on the the HBC website
The HBC website can be searched by Date, Application Number or Address.
Use the direct link to all planning applications details. Here you can enter any part of the details, e.g. a street name like "King Street, Emsworth" and you will get a list of all applications fitting that description since 1990. Only the later ones however have details such as the actual plans.
Recent applications
Identify the application number and the date of application from the list of current applications and search by this.
Alternatively search the HBC site directly for recent applications, these are usually updated several days before the weekly list appears.
Major and controversial applicaions have direct links to the application details on the HBC website.

Emsworth, being on the costal plan is beset by drainage problems. Thorough studies of this is essential for major developments. For further information visit the British Hydrological Society site
Strategic Planning
The planning system is changing with the coming of the Local Development Framework (LDF) the new face of planning strategy. This LDF is dependent on the the South East Plan.
The ERA has made, and will continue to make, detailed representations on each document of the LDF as it goes through the system.
